Discourse

Experimental VR Game Design

Discourse is an experimental VR game that challenges the constraints of an overbearing social system through reverse gameplay mechanics. Inspired by Sara Hendren’s book What Can a Body Do?, which explores how societal structures shape lived experiences of disability, the game reinterprets these ideas in the context of systemic oppression. Drawing from my own experiences navigating the misogynistic laws of the Islamic Republic, I designed Discourse to offer an immersive perspective on the struggles of women in Iran, turning gameplay into a form of resistance and storytelling.
